Life is on express lane these days. Communication is very fast; even if the children are away, parents can see and talk over the Internet. Everyone focuses on career to survive and sustain.

A friend of mine is longing to see his son and grandchildren since the last three years.

Due to preoccupation, his son is not able to make a visit.

All I could tell my friend was that he could take consolation from Internet facilities.

Just three decades ago, even to make a distant phone call was a challenging task.

Your article, ‘When NRIs missed a heart beat’ (KT/Jan 12), was interesting to read. To date, NRIs were not disturbed and now the possibility of the Indian government imposing a tax is sad.

Indians are working abroad mainly due to commitments and growth. Because many Indians faced discouragement in pursuing education at home, they departed for foreign shores. Now a new tax imposition will hardly be a welcome factor. I feel that first the black money should be brought back before implementing a tax proposal such as this.

Your article,Medical articles purchase scam,two officials booked ,was a good to read.Depriving the Hospital items purchase,are the Main attributing factors for the Patients inconvenience and also for the treatment,was highly Unacceptable.Two officials booked by the Anti Corruption Police of the Capitol, and Funniest part both officials are holding Top Position.One was sad and Painful One is the Chief Medical Officer and the other, Director Health Services,was very sad.The Health Ministry should address this issue,should not be repeated in the future,so that patients Won't put in to inconvenience.
